6. Popsicle Stick Haunted Houses
Building a miniature haunted house out of wooden popsicle sticks allows children to become little architects of their own spooky worlds. To create the base, line up about eight to ten craft sticks vertically and glue two additional sticks horizontally across the back to hold them together. Once the glue is dry, let your kids paint the house in spooky shades of black, dark purple, or charcoal gray. They can use yellow construction paper to cut out glowing windows and a door, drawing tiny silhouettes of ghosts or bats peeking out from the inside. Add details like a crooked chimney made from a scrap of black paper, or a tiny paper spider web draping from the roof.
