15. Paper Loop Black Cats
Capture the sleek, elegant silhouette of a classic Halloween black cat using simple construction paper loops. Cut strips of black construction paper about one inch wide. Roll one long strip into a large loop to form the cat’s body and secure it with a staple or glue. Roll a shorter strip into a smaller loop to serve as the cat’s head, and glue it on top of the larger loop. Cut out two small, pointed triangle ears from black paper and glue them to the top of the head. Add thin strips of pink paper for the inner ears and white paper strips for the whiskers. Don’t forget a long, curved black paper tail glued to the back of the body loop. This three-dimensional paper sculpture is simple to make but looks highly artistic and modern sitting on a mantelpiece.
