20. Paper Plate Monsters with Accordion Legs
Let your child’s imagination run completely wild with this open-ended, colorful paper plate monster craft. Start by painting a paper plate in any bright, vibrant color they choose. While the paint is drying, cut several long strips of colorful construction paper. Show your kids how to fold the paper strips back and forth in an accordion fold to create springy, bouncy arms and legs. Glue these bouncy limbs to the back of the paper plate so they dangle down. Provide a tray of scrap materials—such as sequins, feathers, glitter, googly eyes, and felt pieces.
