Playful Wooden Googly-Eyed Monster Blocks
This project is incredibly fun, colorful, and perfect for families with young children who prefer the silly side of Halloween over the scary. Cut several small 2×4 blocks and paint them in bright, non-traditional neon colors like hot pink, electric blue, bright teal, and lime green. Don’t worry about making them look perfect; the brighter and bolder, the better!
Once the paint is dry, gather a massive assortment of plastic googly eyes in various sizes. Use hot glue to cover the front of the blocks with eyes—some monsters can have just one giant eye, others can have three, and some can have dozens of tiny eyes blanketing their face. Use a black marker to draw silly, crooked smiles, sharp little fangs, or confused expressions, creating a cheerful crew of monsters that will bring a smile to anyone who sees them.
