Spooky Ghostly Window Pane Art
Create a hauntingly beautiful illusion with this unique window pane craft. Cut four equal lengths of 2×4 and join them together using wood glue and pocket screws to form a square, open picture frame, mimicking a vintage window casing. Paint the frame in a heavily distressed, chipped white finish to make it look like it was salvaged from an abandoned, historic home.
On the back of the frame, secure a piece of clear acrylic plastic or a sheet of fine black wire mesh. On the back of the mesh, attach a cut-out silhouette of a floating ghost made from thin white cardstock or painted wood. When hung on a wall or placed in front of a window, the ghost appears to be floating eerily through the window panes, creating a sophisticated and atmospheric piece of seasonal wall art.
