Minimalist Candy Corn Flower Vases
For a modern, chic take on Halloween decor, turn your 2×4 blocks into minimalist bud vases. Cut a thick block of 2×4 and drill one or two deep, vertical holes into the top edge using a spade drill bit, making sure not to go all the way through the bottom. Paint the exterior of the block in the iconic candy corn gradient: yellow on the bottom, orange in the middle, and white at the top.
Once the paint is sealed and dry, insert glass test tubes or small plastic floral tubes into the drilled holes. Fill the tubes with water and insert dried black pampas grass, faux orange marigolds, or dark, moody purple roses.
