14. Dreamy Cotton Candy Clouds
Painting clouds doesn’t have to be intimidating. Instead of trying to paint the clouds themselves, you paint the sky around them. This is known as negative painting. Wet your paper and apply a soft wash of sky blue. While the paper is wet, use a clean, dry, fluffy brush or a crumpled paper towel to gently lift the blue paint off the paper in soft, circular motions. This reveals the bright white paper underneath, creating fluffy, natural-looking clouds with soft, realistic edges. You can add a touch of pink or purple to the bottom of the clouds for a sunset effect.
