11. Moody Raindrops on a Window
Capturing the look of rain on a windowpane is surprisingly simple and looks incredibly artistic. You begin by painting a soft, out-of-focus background of blurred greens, greys, and blues, mimicking a rainy day outside. Once this background is dry, you use a small brush with clean water to lift small circles of paint away, dabbing with a paper towel to create light spots. Then, using a mix of dark grey and white paint, you paint delicate, drooping teardrop shapes and thin, wiggly vertical trails running down the page. The contrast between the soft background and the sharp water droplets creates a stunning 3D effect.
