Paper Plate Black Cats
Celebrate the sleek, mysterious symbol of Halloween with a delightful paper plate black cat craft. This project is highly engaging for young children who love animals, allowing them to explore textures and shapes while creating a friendly, non-spooky feline friend to guard the house.
Start by having your child paint a paper plate with solid black paint. While the paint is drying, cut out two pointed cat ears from black construction paper, along with long, thin strips of green or yellow paper for the cat’s bright, glowing eyes. Once the plate is dry, glue the ears to the top and the eyes to the center. For the whiskers, use white pipe cleaners or thin strips of white paper glued to the nose area, topped off with a cute pink pom-pom for the nose. This craft is incredibly charming and looks fantastic displayed on a wall, hanging from a door, or sitting proudly on a mantlepiece.
