Resist Art Spider Webs
Introduce your toddler to the magic of watercolor resist art with this stunning spider web project. Tape resist art is an incredible technique for young children because it guarantees a beautiful result regardless of their painting precision. On a sturdy sheet of white watercolor paper or cardstock, lay down strips of painter’s tape or masking tape in a radial pattern to resemble a spider web. Press the tape down firmly to ensure no paint can seep underneath. Give your toddler a watercolor tray, a cup of water, and a brush. Let them paint over the entire paper with dark, moody colors like purple, blue, and black. Encourage them to use plenty of water to blend the colors.
