Floating Luminary Paper Bags
Line your hallway, staircase, or front pathway with beautiful, glowing paper bag luminaries. Using standard brown or white paper lunch bags, draw simple Halloween silhouettes on the front of each bag, such as a jack-o’-lantern face, a bat, or a spooky cat. Use a hole punch or a thick needle to punch holes along the outlines of your drawings, which will allow the light to shine through in a beautiful, dotted pattern. Pour an inch of sand, pebbles, or uncooked rice into the bottom of each bag to weigh them down and prevent them from tipping over. Place a battery-operated LED tea light inside each bag. The soft, diffused glow radiating through the paper creates a welcoming, nostalgic, and cozy atmosphere.
