8. Cardboard Witch’s Spell Book
Craft a mystical, ancient spell book that looks like it was pulled straight from a witch’s library using a simple cardboard box. Take a small, rectangular box and hot glue curved cardboard strips to the spine to mimic the look of bound leather pages. Cover the entire exterior with a layer of crumpled brown paper bag dipped in Mod Podge, smoothing it over the surface to create a wrinkled, leathery texture. Add a raised cardboard skull, snake, or pentagram to the cover before painting the entire book in deep brown and gold metallic tones. Seal the pages with a gold-leaf edge, and leave the book open on a stand displaying a spooky hand-written spell.
