10. Cardboard Haunted Mirror
Create a portal to the spirit world with an ornate, Victorian-style haunted mirror crafted entirely from cardboard and foil. Cut an elaborate, swirling baroque frame out of thick cardboard, adding smaller cardboard filigrees and flourishes glued on top for a heavy, carved-wood appearance. Paint the frame in a distressed antique gold or tarnished silver, using a black paint wash to settle into the crevices for an aged look. For the mirror glass, stretch shiny aluminum foil tightly over a flat piece of cardboard, or use reflective silver cardstock, then lightly mist it with grey paint to give it a dusty, ghostly, long-forgotten appearance.
