14. Vintage Cardboard Jack-o’-Lantern Lanterns
Capture the nostalgic charm of early 20th-century Halloween decorations by crafting vintage-style Jack-o’-lantern lanterns from cardboard boxes. Use small, square or cylindrical cardboard boxes, cutting out classic, mischievous triangular eyes, noses, and toothy grins. Paint the boxes a distressed, retro orange and black, sanding the edges slightly to give them a worn, antique look. Line the inside of the cutouts with orange or yellow tissue paper to diffuse the light, and place a battery-operated candle inside to emit a warm, nostalgic, and incredibly cozy autumn glow.
