Popsicle Stick Frankenstein
Popsicle sticks are incredibly versatile and excellent for building structural crafts. By lining up six to eight wooden sticks side-by-side and securing them with a couple of horizontal support sticks on the back, kids create a sturdy wooden canvas. Painting this canvas a bright, electric green sets the perfect foundation for creating everyone’s favorite misunderstood monster, Frankenstein.
Once the green paint is dry, kids can use black paint or felt to add a jagged, messy hairline at the top of the sticks. Draw on a stitched scar, a straight-line mouth, and glue on two mismatched googly eyes to capture Frankenstein’s classic, charming expression. For an authentic touch, hot-glue two metallic painted bottle caps or real metal bolts to the sides of the neck to complete this iconic monster look.
