Macabre Skull and Crow Flower Box
Give your summer window boxes and porch planters a dark, Victorian-gothic makeover for the autumn season. Remove any dead summer annuals and replace them with dried ornamental grasses, dark purple cabbages, black pansies, and curly willow branches. Nestle realistic plastic skulls among the foliage, securing them in place with floral wire or wooden dowels. Perch a few faux black feathered crows and ravens on top of the skulls and along the branches, angled as if they are whispering secrets to one another.
