10. The Poplar Bakery Cottage
Now this is a fun one. A cottage that doubles as a little bakery, with a chimney that always smells like fresh bread — okay, it doesn’t actually smell, but you know what I mean — and a window where you can imagine selling cakes to your neighbors.
I used warm lanterns inside, a little outdoor table with chairs, and a sign out front. It’s playful, it’s charming, and it makes a survival village feel alive in a way a plain house never will.
