19. The Bohemian Pull-Through Braided Updo

19

Pull-through braids are not technically traditional braids; instead, they are a series of interconnected small ponytails where one ponytail is split and pulled through another. Because every single segment is anchored with a tiny clear elastic, this style holds its shape indefinitely and allows each section to be pulled apart aggressively for extreme volume without unraveling.

Once the pull-through braid reaches the nape, the excess hair is tucked up and under to form a massive, airy low bun. Bridesmaids with very fine, soft hair benefit immensely from the structural support of the hidden elastics. It gives the appearance of thick, voluminous hair while guaranteeing zero mid-reception sagging.
