8. The Overgrown Stone Ruins Camp

8

History and cozy comfort collide in the Overgrown Stone Ruins Camp. This design reimagines an ancient, crumbling watchtower or chapel as the perfect base camp for a wandering scout. The contrast between cold, weathered stone and the warm, vibrant colors of a campfire makes this aesthetic exceptionally atmospheric and visually striking.

Build the broken archways and ruined walls using a mixture of stone bricks, cracked stone bricks, mossy cobble, and chiseled stone. Allow vines and cave vines with berries to cascade down the high walls. Inside the shelter of the ruin’s largest surviving wall, construct a wooden lean-to roof using dark oak stairs. Underneath this makeshift roof, place a cozy sleeping area featuring a loom as a rug, a lantern-lit lectern, and chest storage stacked to the ceiling. A bonfire built in the center of the ruins illuminates the broken stone archways, casting long, dynamic shadows into the surrounding woodland.
