Creepy Crawly Spiderweb Jars
For those who prefer their Halloween decor with a side of shivers, the creepy crawly spiderweb jar is a must-make. This project focuses on texture and the illusion of an abandoned, long-forgotten corner of a haunted attic. Using a hot glue gun, you can draw intricate, raised spiderweb patterns directly onto the glass surface of the jar. Once the glue dries and hardens, it leaves a clear, three-dimensional web design that you can lightly brush with white or silver metallic paint to make the intricate threads pop against the dark background.
To enhance the spooky factor, paint the remainder of the jar in a matte, chalky black or a dusty, distressed charcoal gray. Once the paint is dry, use hot glue to attach several realistic plastic spiders crawling up the sides of the jar, as if they are actively spinning their webs.
