4. Ghostly Mirror Portrait Transmutations
Turn an ordinary thrift store mirror into a haunted relic housing a trapped spirit. This project utilizes printable vintage portraits and a scraping technique on the back of a cheap mirror, or a simpler method using semi-transparent vellum paper placed directly over the glass. By applying a watered-down black acrylic paint wash to the edges and adding faux cobwebs, the portrait appears to fade in and out of view depending on the angle of the light, offering a subtle, sophisticated jump scare for your hallway guests.
