12. Tin Can Windchime Phantoms
Upcycle your metal soup cans into delightful, wind-catching garden phantoms. After cleaning the cans, paint them with a durable, weather-resistant white outdoor paint. Drill a small hole through the bottom of each can to thread a sturdy nylon cord through, securing a metal washer or bell inside to act as the clapper. Paint classic, spooky, or silly ghost faces on the outside of the cans using black acrylic paint.
To complete the windchime, tie long, fluttering white ribbons or lace scraps to the bottom rim of the can. When hung from a porch beam or tree branch, the ribbons will dance gracefully in the autumn breeze, and the gentle clinking of the metal will create a soothing, atmospheric soundtrack for your outdoor Halloween display.
