Voluminous Gibson Tuck with Pearl Accents

10

The Gibson tuck—a classic early 20th-century style inspired by the Gibson Girl—gets a modern, luxurious upgrade when styled on long hair and adorned with delicate pearl accents. The technique involves creating a soft, cushioned roll by tucking the ends of the hair inward and upward into a pocket formed above the nape. Long hair allows for a large, voluptuous roll that looks rich and full of internal volume.

To keep the look fresh and contemporary, the crown is given light volume and texture rather than being pulled completely flat. Once the thick roll is securely pinned into place, small pearl pins are scattered along the top seam of the tuck. The contrast between the smooth, rolled satin texture of the hair and the subtle sheen of the pearls results in a polished, romantic look that feels straight out of a classic romance novel.
