16. The Sacred Cherry Shrine of the Kami
Drawing deep inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture and folklore, the Sacred Cherry Shrine integrates a massive pink-foliage tree with a intricate red Torii gate and temple structure. The tree’s trunk curves around the wooden shrine, hugging the painted red timber with thick, graceful branches built from Stripped Dark Oak. Pink Terracotta, Cherry Leaves, and Red Wool mix together to form a rich, dense canopy overflowing with color.
Paper lanterns made from Red Stained Glass and Candles hang from every main branch, casting a soft, romantic light over stone pathway steps. A wooden bridge crosses a quiet koi pond filled with orange terracotta fish sculptures and lily pads. Visitors to the shrine tie paper notes—represented by Birch Signs or White Banners—to tiny wooden fences wrapped around the base of the sacred tree, creating a traditional, culturally rich wishing ground.
